Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 22, 2026

Flextimer is provided by Sophomath LLC. For support requests and privacy inquiries, contact [email protected].

Summary

What Flextimer Stores

  • Timers, steps, cues, settings, favorites, and recents stored on your device.
  • Email content only if you contact us directly.

What Flextimer Does Not Do

  • No account is required to use the app.
  • No cloud sync is provided.
  • No in-app ads, and no advertising or marketing trackers.

Optional AI Timer Feature

  • If you choose to describe a timer with AI, the text you type is sent to our backend and to a third-party AI provider to generate a timer.
  • No account is used; the request is tied only to a random, anonymous identifier, not your identity.
  • Your description may be kept for up to 30 days to improve quality, then automatically deleted or anonymized. See “AI Timer Generation” below.

Crash & Diagnostic Reports

  • To find and fix bugs, the app sends crash and error reports to a third-party diagnostics provider.
  • These include technical details (device model, OS version, app version, error and stack traces)—not your timers, settings, or the text you type—and are not linked to your identity.

Your Controls

  • You can remove locally stored data by deleting timers, clearing app data, or uninstalling the app.
  • You can contact [email protected] with privacy questions.

Information We Collect

Flextimer does not require account creation. The app stores timer definitions, timer structure, cues, favorites, recents, and settings locally on your device.

If you contact us by email, we receive the information you include in that message, such as your email address and the contents of your request.

How Data Is Stored

Flextimer stores app data on your device, including through a local SQLite database. Except for the optional AI timer feature described below, Flextimer does not send timer data, settings, or session data to Sophomath LLC servers. The AI feature sends only the text you type into the describe box—not your saved timers, settings, or session data.

The app also sends crash and error diagnostics to a third-party provider to help us detect and fix problems. These reports contain technical information about your device and the error, not your saved timers, settings, session data, or the text you type. See “Crash and Diagnostics Reporting” below.

AI Timer Generation (Text-to-Timer)

Flextimer offers an optional feature that lets you describe a timer in your own words and have it generated for you to review. It is used only when you choose it.

When you use it, the following is sent off your device:

  • the text description you type;
  • a random, anonymous identifier used to apply usage limits (it is not an account and is not linked to your name, email, or device identity); and
  • basic usage information about the request, such as timestamps, token counts, and estimated cost.

This information is processed by our backend infrastructure (currently a Supabase project) and sent to a third-party AI provider that generates the timer. The specific provider may change over time. Each provider processes your input under its own terms of service and privacy practices, which we do not control.

We retain your description for up to 30 days to debug problems and improve the feature's quality, after which it is automatically deleted or reduced to anonymous, aggregated statistics. Because the feature does not use an account and the identifier is anonymous, this data is not linked to your name, email, or device identity. You can avoid this data collection entirely by not using the AI feature.

Crash and Diagnostics Reporting

Flextimer automatically sends crash reports and error diagnostics to a third-party error-monitoring provider so we can detect and fix problems. These reports include technical information such as device model, operating system version, app version, and the technical details of the error (for example, a stack trace). They do not include your saved timers, settings, session data, or the text you type into the describe box. These reports are not linked to your name, email, or device identity. The provider processes this data under its own terms and privacy practices, and the specific provider may change over time.

How We Use Information

We use information you send us directly to:

  • respond to support requests;
  • address bugs or technical issues you report; and
  • communicate with you about your request.

Third-Party Services

Flextimer may be distributed through third-party app stores such as Apple App Store and Google Play. Those platforms may collect information subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

The Flextimer website is a static site and does not use its own analytics, advertising, account system, or contact form submissions.

If you use the optional AI timer feature, your request is processed by our backend host (currently Supabase) and by a third-party AI provider, which generates the timer. See “AI Timer Generation” above.

Crash and error diagnostics are processed by a third-party error-monitoring provider, whose specific identity may change over time. See “Crash and Diagnostics Reporting” above.

Retention and Deletion

Data stored by Flextimer remains on your device until you delete it, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Emails you send us may be retained for support and record-keeping purposes.

If you use the AI timer feature, the description you submit is retained for up to 30 days and then automatically deleted or anonymized, as described in “AI Timer Generation.”

Children's Privacy

Flextimer is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we will revise the effective date shown above.
